The Bihar Yoga Club was founded with the goal to teach and practice classical yoga – Satyananda joga (also known as Bihar yoga), in the way that it is practiced and lived in the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, India.
Our focus is to promote, sustain and preserve the authentic teachings of the Satyananda yoga tradition, and to pass on the diverse practices and techniques of Satyananda yoga in their original and unadulterated form, the form in which they have been applied in Bihar School of Yoga for over half a century.
This style of Yoga is uniquely adapted to the needs of our modern time, and has been scientifically proven to be effective in many areas. Our intention is to make this style of holistic yoga accessible to people of all ages, genders, and levels of health and physical fitness.
Our club is part of the international Satyananda yoga family, whose doors are open to people from all over the world, regardless of race, class, or religious affiliations, in the desire that everybody discovers for themselves the timeless values of yoga practice.
